About the event
Join us in celebrating our beloved Day of the Dead tradition in New York City.
Day of the Dead (Día de Muertos) is a time to honor and revere our deceased family members and ancestors. This practice is deeply ingrained in the native Mexican belief that life on earth is a preparation for the afterlife and emphasizes the significance of maintaining a profound connection with those who have passed away.
We invite you to join us and contribute to our ofrenda (altar) by bringing copies of photographs, notes, and letters commemorating your loved ones. These items will become part of the ofrenda (altar) as we remember them throughout the celebration.
12-5 pm Marketplace
Experience the vibrant colors and unique designs of traditional Mexican folk art, and enjoy delicious Mexican food, all available for purchase.
2-4 pm Workshops
Create crafts and trinkets related to the Day of the Dead celebration.
